Gregory Korostishevsky (SAG-AFTRA), is one of today’s most known American/Russian stand-up comedian and actor in the United States, who is instantly recognizable from Orange is the New Black, many TV shows, numerous television commercials and stand-up comedy performances. Gregory is also a renowned theater actor with over forty years of experience that he shares with his students.
Gregory immigrated to the US from the Ukraine where he studied dramatic art. He continued his theatrical education with the best American acting teachers in Carnegie Hall Acting Studios in both dramatic and comedic roles. He’s a cast member of 12 times EMMY nominated hit show “Orange is the New Black”, playing role of Dimitri, a husband of RED (EMMY nominated KATE MULGREW). He has appeared on various TV shows including "Billions", NBC’s “30 ROCK”, “Ed”, “White Collar”, “BENSHEE” and many times in sketches on David Letterman and Conan O’Brien shows. In 2022 he played a recurring character on “NBC’s BLACKLIST.
Gregory has also played in a number of movies, including the Academy Award nominated “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” starring Melissa McCarthy, “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close”, starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, “Cold Souls” starring Paul Giamatti, “Two Days in NY” with Chris Rock and “Today's Special” starring Aasif Mandvi (from the John Stewart show).
He has appeared as a principal performer in more than 60 national commercials, including “Time Warner Cable”, “Direct TV”, “Geico”, “Domino’s Pizza”, “Vitamin Water”, "Verizon”, “Oreo’s” “Amstel-Lite”, “BMW” and “Sprint” Super Bowl spot. His distinctive voice can be heard in video games “Bully” and “Grand Theft Auto IV”.
